MATCHDAY! League Cup QF’s

Not too much live football action in the week this week which is disappointing, still you won’t miss out on anything as there is still enough on for you to watch something each evening. Starting tonight with the League (EFL) Cup and two big names going head to head with Liverpool vs Leeds United.

I’m not sure if Klopp will ‘rest’ many players as I know he’ll want to try to win this trophy, even more so after getting to two finals last year, including this one, and missing out. His players should be fresh as well, which has shown in their league form with his squad not having to cope with European travel and games this season. Leeds themselves have been doing well recently in The Championship but I can’t see them being any match for Liverpool at Anfield tonight. If I’m honest I might be having a bet on four plus goals in 90 minutes tonight as I can see plenty of goal mouth action in a few hours time.

Dijon FCO v Monaco – Ligue 1 @ 20:00 BT Sport 2

Onto Wednesday, there is a second vs fourth in the Scottish Premiership with Rangers away to Hearts. I’d probably have gone for a draw on this game but with all the talk currently of Hearts manager Robbie Neilson leaving due to be offered role in England. That could upset the home team so I’m going for an away win to Rangers and for them to close the gab on leaders Celtic.

Obviously then is the big game live game in the EFL Cup, with Manchester United playing West Ham United again for the second mufcwhufctime in four days. United are big favourites to win with the bookies and rightfully so, however United last four league games at home have all been draws, plus the last three times the Hammers have visited Old Trafford it’s ended in a draw. Obviously there has to be a winner outright tonight, but you wouldn’t put it past it being a draw after 90 minutes would you?
