EFL Cup and more

The ‘League Cup’ or EFL Cup continues tonight with one outstanding fixture taking place. The second Manchester derby of the season with United taking on City again at Old Trafford. It’s been six weeks since they met last time in the Premier League itself. United played well in the second half of that game and could have nicked a point but all the work was done by City in the first half when they played outstanding football and took United part with their formation and attacking midfield display.

That game was end to end so hopefully we’ll get another game like that tonight on Sky Sports. Both teams are currently in a bad patch, with either team struggling to currently find a victory home or away. After all the build up I’m going to probably bet on a draw and if I was going to predict an actual scoreline, I’d say 1-1. If I’m correct and it does go to extra time then I have no idea which way it may go.

Utd 1 vs City 2 back in September

The live EFL Cup game last night saw Liverpool beat Tottenham 2-1 to go through to the next round along with the following teams who also: Arsenal 2-0 Reading, Bristol City 1-2 Hull, Leeds 2-2 Norwich *Leeds United win 3-2 on penalties and Newcastle 6-0 Preston.

There are a couple of other fixtures tonight that are listed but unless you’re a fan of those teams I’m guessing most, if not all will be watching the Manchester derby.

Not too much on Thursday night football but Friday brings a whole host of games from around Europe and the World with games pretty much taking place all day. If any of you get paid Friday and have the day off by any chance then sit back, log on to your betting account and watch away. I have plans myself so won’t be watching anything, so will be putting a few afternoon bets on earlier in the day. With a temptation of Brentford winning at Loftus Road.
